Lino-cut festive cards

An introduction to the craft of lino-cutting, using this beautifully simple and creative form of relief printing to print and mount your own handmade cards. You'll create and refine your own design(s) on paper, carve the design into lino by hand, then use printing inks and rollers to create your finished designs on printing paper. Perfect as, but not limited to, Christmas cards for your nearest and dearest.

This short workshop is a great introduction to the lino-cutting process. It goes without saying whatever you create is yours to take home; as a guide, we hope you'll leave with 6-12 handmade cards (with envelopes). As with all our workshops, we endeavour to give you an insight into the craft, including where to source inspiration, tools and materials. Your lino-cut block will also be yours to take away, to hang onto as a keepsake or to print from again and again if you choose!

All tools and materials needed will be provided.
The woodburning stove will be on to keep us cosy.
Tea, coffee and cake (inc GF) will also be available.

This workshop is recommended for adults and also younger makers approx 14+. But please note, participants under 18 need accompanied by a separate paying adult.
